the technical difference: why embroidery fails small text.

People think standard embroidery works for every logo. That is a massive mistake.

If your design has text under 0.25 inches, an embroidery needle destroys it. It turns your company name into an illegible thread-blob. We build woven patches to solve this exact problem.

Instead of stitching thick thread onto a heavy twill backing, we weave the patch itself. We run fine 50-denier polyester yarn through computerized Jacquard looms. The threads are woven together to create the actual fabric.

You get razor-sharp text. You get complex geometric details. You get exact Pantone (PMS) yarn dyeing that cheap internet patches cannot match.

inside the machine: the jacquard loom process.

Equipment Spec

We do not use standard embroidery machines for this hardware. We use industrial Jacquard looms.

A loom uses two sets of threads. The “warp” threads run vertically. The “weft” threads run horizontally. Elena Garza, our Master Digitizer, handles the CAD textile drafting. She programs the exact warp and weft thread tensioning into the machine.

Fabrication Detail

The loom weaves the 50-denier threads over and under each other. This creates a high-definition damask weave.

It produces a flat profile that sits completely flush against your uniform. There are no raised threads to snag on equipment.

built for houston: who we outfit.

We engineer woven patches for the most demanding sectors in the Gulf Coast.

maritime logistics & port of houston.

Dock crews need maritime shipping uniform labels that do not snag on heavy rigging or cargo netting. Woven patches sit perfectly flush against the fabric. They survive the 90% Gulf Coast humidity without rotting.

energy corridor corporate wear.

Corporate offices demand clean, precise branding. We provide the B2B custom damask woven labels Texas energy firms use. They easily display complex logos and tiny registered trademark symbols.

Nurses and doctors need flat, smooth branding. Raised embroidery can scratch patients or catch on medical equipment. Woven patches lay flat on scrubs and survive high-heat hospital sterilization washes.

heavy industrial contractors.

High-volume uniform programs need serious durability. We handle the bulk industrial woven insignia fabrication Houston contractors rely on. These patches do not fray or fall apart after brutal industrial wash cycles.

Backings Options For Woven Patches.

    Hook-and-Loop Velcro

Built for swapping out patches on tactical gear and flight suits.

  • A bear-shaped custom patch displaying a shiny, heat-activated iron-on adhesive backing.

    Heat-Activated Polyurethane (PU) Backing

An industrial heat-seal option for light-duty corporate wear.

  • A rectangular custom patch showing a paper peel-and-stick adhesive backing being peeled away.

    3M™ 300LSE Adhesive

Heavy-duty peel-and-stick backing. Built for hardhats, Pelican cases, and toolboxes.

Border Options For Woven Patches.

  • Laser-cut hot knife edge border

    Laser Cut Border

We use a 1,200-degree laser to cut and seal the edge perfectly flat. It melts the polyester fibers together. It stops fraying and keeps the patch flush with the garment.

  • Merrowed Overlock custom patch border

    Merrowed Edge

We wrap the edge with a heavy, classic thread border. This gives a flat woven patch a traditional uniform look.

pricing logic: how we quote your run.

Let’s talk money. We calculate your cost based on patch dimensions, thread colors, and total quantity.

Threading a computerized Jacquard loom takes hours of engineering time. Running the machine takes minutes. If you order a small batch, you eat that heavy setup cost. If you order 5,000 units, that setup cost spreads out.

Bulk volume drops your unit price significantly. You pay for raw materials and machine time. You do not pay a broker’s commission.

frequently asked questions.

What is a damask weave?

Damask is the highest quality weave available for custom patches. It uses a very fine, high-density thread. This results in a smooth, soft texture and highly legible text. We use damask weaves for all our corporate and industrial woven patches.

What is the minimum order for woven patches?

We require a strict 100-patch minimum for woven runs. Setting up the Jacquard loom takes significant time. We do not run single patches or one-offs.

Can you match my exact company colors?

Yes, we use exact Pantone (PMS) yarn dyeing to match your corporate brand guidelines. We ensure the colors look right in real life, not just on a computer screen.

Will the edges fray over time?

No, we use ultrasonic laser edge sealing to lock the threads permanently in place. This stops fraying even after heavy industrial wash cycles.

Can you use metallic thread in a woven patch?

Yes, we can weave metallic gold or silver threads into your design. This is highly popular for private security firms and casino staff uniforms.

How long does production take?

Standard production takes about two to three weeks after you approve the physical sample. We manufacture everything to exact specs, and doing it right takes time.
